afsc-afghanistan: American Friends Service Committee has had an office in Kabul since 2002. Our early work focused on building schools and providing teacher training. Beginning in 2005 AFSC Afghanistan initiated a psycho social training and intervention program aimed at relieving problems associated with tramau and chronic stress. Currently we also have an active school to school exchange with a Quaker school in North Carolina, a youth project in civic engagement,and are working with Kabul University to develop intern programs.
